917 191 Posted November 8, 2018 Share Posted November 8, 2018 Before the game on BT Sports he told Emma Dodds that he picked Katic ahead of the usually dependable Worrall because Spartak were a threat at set pieces & he could defend them better. 4 goals conceded from crosses into the box suggests otherwise & there could have been more. Ejaria & Flanagan were mortifying yet again as well & you have to wonder if Juergen Klopp is picking the Rangers team now. As bad as Spartak were in the 1st half, we never really turned up in either half & have just blown a never to be repeated chance to qualify, against by far the worst team in the group!! Their 4th goal wasn't from a cross at all - you been on the beer ? Get shot of them all 4 months after a new manager comes in. Yep, we have the money to do that too. Anyone agreeing with the above is clearly willfully ignoring the absolute dross that Gerrard inherited and the fact he has had ONE transfer window to put it right... As well as that, he hasn't had that much time to work on them in training as the games have been 2 or 3 a week since July/August. Last season we were getting embarrassed by Progress Niedercorn. This season we reached theEL group stages We can’t expect too much too soon. Wenow have a team upon we can start to build & make further progress.
