[FT] Rangers 7 - 1 Motherwell (Arfield 8', 61', Tavernier 35' pen, Morelos 38', Middleton 59', Grezda 68', 75')

IMHO, quite a few players have been underused ... which leads to frustration if those on the field fail to hit their own high standards as well as people getting thrown in without having played much, e.g. Middleton on Thursday.

If we play Middleton, Morelos and Grezda up top tomorrow, you pray that none gets injured. If you look at our missing squad members and what remains ... while also knowing the schedule for December and that the transfer window only opens thereafter ... you might swallow hard:

Missing: Jamie Murphy (knee), Graham Dorrans (knee), Borna Bariŝić (thigh), Ryan Kent (thigh), Kyle Lafferty (muscle), Daniel Candeias (suspended), Lassana Couliably (family reasons)

I see our old chum Craig Thomson is referee today.

You can be sure there will be at least one decision goes against us which shouldn’t or there will be a stonewall penalty we don’t get.

Always the same when he referees a Rangers game

Well, you would hope we score early on and more than once. Keep 'well at arms length so they don't get any ideas.

Wonder who will make up the central partnership, as this will be a key area where they will likely want to make their mark. Solid in midfield and packed in defence, so a 4-3-3 might be unwise against that.

McGregor

Goldson - Worrall - Halliday

Jack - Rossiter

Tavernier - Grezda - Arfield/Ejaria - Middleton

Morelos

... might be a formation, with Tav dropping back if need be. I'd use Arfield over Ejaria, as he is more physical and direct.
