Be careful what you wish for...

Go down 'strict liability' route and Lawwell and his pals at UEFA will make sure we're facing bans too.

Lol.  Aye, right.  You honestly think Lawwell wants strict liability brought in ??  How many times do the Tims invade the pitch ?  Absolutely no chance Lawwell wants strict liability.

In your haste to be a defender of football hooliganism, or ultras, or whatever we are calling them today, you are trying to use scare tactics that we may get ejected from UEFA tournaments due to the Celtic CEO ???  hahaha, aye right.

If you, or anyone else, wants to engage in petrol bombing or fighting at the football, why not just organize a meet up with the other team's "crew" in a barren wasteland somewhere and have your fun - but taking it into football and endangering everyone else who wants to WATCH the football is ignorant, selfish and dangerous.

I think you underestimate our enemy, @craig.

And I wasn't defending hooliganism.  I was merely having a laugh about an incident, between two foreign sets of fans, that occurred over two thousand miles from Ibrox.

Far worse things happen all over the world every single day.

Each to his own, but I don't find petrol bombing to be a laughing matter, no matter how far from home or who it involves.

The world is where it is, in part, because we just sweep these things aside under the "far worse things" mantra.  How about we condemn incidents which deserve condemnation ?

The opinions of Rangers fans are completely ignored in Scotland, so I very much doubt whether UEFA, the Greek Police, AEK or Ajax are interested in our condemnation (or otherwise) of this incident.

Last I checked condemning inappropriate actions weren't necessarily done in order to invoke change.

Laughing them off, on the other hand, lends credence to it being "no big deal" when others see your attitude towards it.

I personally prefer to take the attitude of condemnation.  If I were to laugh that petrol bombing off in front of my son it could easily lend itself to being construed as being acceptable.  Your prerogative though.
