The point is that Livingston is the perfect place to prove himself because he’s getting first team football in our league. He has no chance of starting ahead of Morelos or Lafferty and he won’t earn a new contract in our reserves.

Agreed. My point is Rangers will have to decide very soon whether he gets a new contract, I wasn't implying he will or should be recalled from Livi.

I can see Hardie leaving, he really is at the stage of his career where he needs to be playing every week, same goes for Shankland, if he was to come to us he would be 3rd in the pecking order, we need a guy in his prime right now, stiffeling these guys development won't help them in the long run and to be honest they probably aren't good enough for us for the time being.

With Hardie I think he should move on to somewhere where he is guaranteed first team football, pity we couldn't have first option to buy him back if there was a deal to be had.

With Shankland if they do go for him, get him straight back out to Ayr, give Gerrard time to evaluate him over the summer and if he thinks he is good enough keep him round the squad, if not let him go out on loan again to somewhere he will be playing every week.

I like the look of Sol, he does offer something a bit different to Lafferty and Morelos (he looks good in the air and looks a bit more composed), we really need guys that will push the first team players if we want to kick on.

Meanwhile, SG reckons that we'll see Dorrans and Murphy soonish, in the latter's case at least sooner than expected.
