Hugely disappointed in this one. Mickey Francis o Halloran without the assists and goals record ? biggest strength is pace, works a treat against a deep lying defence doesn’t it? Not to mention the similarity to Middleton, who’s managed more assists this season from probably half the minutes.

Because he's better than two of them, and the other one (Kent) is just a loan.  We absolutely want to develop our own players but we have to be ruthless to achieve our ambitions.  It is a clear signal of intent from the board and the manager.  I'm delighted we continue to build the quality in the team.  If our existing players are not good enough, they'll be replaced with ones who are.  The challenge is now there for Middleton and others to develop, or move on.

I think Jones is more of an inside forward, which we don't have -- Middleton and Kent are wingers -- and he can also play all along the front line, LW, RW and #10.

Sorry but not in a million years is Jordan Jones a better player than Jamie Murphy.

Google “Bradley’s Fight” mate.  A young lad of just 5 or 6who was an avid football fan but had, I think, leukemia - was visiting as many league grounds as he could.  Defoe met him when he was at Sunderland and befriended him, to the extent that they became true friends.  Bradley got to be England’s mascot in a game before he sadly passed.  Defoe was genuinely gutted when the lad passed.

 

Defoe was an absolute quality individual through it all, staying in touch frequently and raising awareness.

probably on football manager, where they've played  Linlithgow 18 times in a row in pre-season firendlies!
