What struck me was how few strikers we have!

We have been lucky that a) we got Lafferty just in time and b) that  Morelos stayed injury free and is in such a goo vein of form. We sure need more back-up though, not least as Sadiq seemingly is the 1 in 15 who didn't work out. That said, Morelos and "the system" would have kept him out anyways.

There were rumours that Ayr'S Shankland was at Auchenhowie in the summer talking about a sign and loan-back deal. Went quiet but has resurfaced of late.

Hardie hasn't played much due to injuries and the loaned chaps and youngsters are probably too raw for the first team. How often do you find a Middleton ...

The Gary Mackay-Steven rumour is an intriguing one. He's clearly a talented player, the question for me is how good would he be in a Rangers shirt?

He played 60odd games for the Yahoos, won 3 titles and a Scottish and League Cup each with them or whomever he was with at the time. That was just a rumour on FF and we really have to wait and see. His injury yesterday surely didn't help Aberdeen ... a bit akin to Naismith's early injury in the semi-final, which essentially sent Hearts into their current spiral downwards.

MacKay-Steven shouldn't be playing on Wednesday as such a head knock normally means you have to take it easy for 5 days.
