I think he's a good signing.

He's ok. Like MOH he has abilities which we can use. But we need far more technical inside forwards for 4-3-3 to really work against deep lying defences. You creative players who can pass and shoot as well as they can run. I'd call Jones a traditional out and out winger in terms of playing style and abilities, only catch being he plays on the "wrong wing".

On Kamara, I haven't seen much of him in a full match so can't really comment. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit worried by the fact he couldn't get a game for Colchester in the League 2 the season before last though. According to their manager they had an injury crisis in his position but he still only managed one start and they let him go after 6 months. Sometimes a club isn't a fit but Legaue 2 is pretty brutal stuff.

Cardiff have shown interest in him so they must think he's up to a decent level

Google “Bradley’s Fight” mate.  A young lad of just 5 or 6who was an avid football fan but had, I think, leukemia - was visiting as many league grounds as he could.  Defoe met him when he was at Sunderland and befriended him, to the extent that they became true friends.  Bradley got to be England’s mascot in a game before he sadly passed.  Defoe was genuinely gutted when the lad passed.

Defoe was an absolute quality individual through it all, staying in touch frequently and raising awareness.

I remember now. But as I said in a previous reply, I thought you meant our own Kyle Bradley! Just slightly off-tack, I taught a 14 year old who also passed away from leukemia a few years back. His parents arranged for him to meet his idol....someone called Steven Gerrard.

Why do we need JordanJones when we’ve already got Middleton,Kent & Murphy who can play wide left?

That's what I thought, but is he not right-footed? (See his 'goal' in the last game where he turned back and crossed with his right, only for it to end up in the net!) We could do with Candeias cover.

Harry Redknapp on Defoe

“The little man, he is fit as a fiddle. He is an absolutely unbelieveable professional. He lives right, he doesn't drink, he's absolutely super fit. I think he could really go up there and score some goals.”
