Scott7 5,009
Some aspects of Christmas are unpleasant intrusions into a comfortable daily life. This must be the worst. I thought I might feel better for writing that but I’m still raging mental.
Gonzo79 13,354
To what are you referring? The song or are you struggling for a crib? For me, Christmas jumpers are repulsive. I was called a "'Bah Humbug' in the office for refusing to purchase or wear one. I advised that paying money to look like a complete gimp goes against my general thought process...which didn't go down well at all. ?
Scott7 5,009
I refer of course to the hymn. Gonzo, your resistance against jumper fascist terror is a commendable achievement. Stout fellow.
Gonzo79 13,354
Ah. I find the more religious aspects of Christmas are easily avoidable. The consumation of what was originally a Pagan festival but was then appropriated by the Romans, in the name of Christianity, by mass consumerism however, is not. And I include the God-awful jumpers in that. No Surrender to Christmas jumpers!

Scott7 5,009
Breach of the peace Compo. If you hear heavy footsteps plodding up your garden path and a big knock on the door, don’t answer it.
Franc Ergs 1,336
I remember being at my son's primary school Xmas carol concert thing, where one of the songs on the printed programme was 'Away in a manager'...which i of course ,and much to my own amusement , sang as printed.
