The reality is we won one game today by the narrowest margin. We won it well and it’s great it was against our main rival.... but it’s still only three points and brings no trophies. Let’s keep our feet on the ground.

It’s only 3 points but it’s the difference between us being just 3 behind them presuming they win their game in hand and a potential 9 behind if we had lost.

It's also a huge boost psychologically. We now know we can get the better of them and that will make a huge difference to us. The fact that we bossed them and barely gave them a sniff will also help our mindset going forward.

I suspect we'll surprise them with an unusual 4-3-3 formation and sit off them, letting them have the ball in their own half, to start off with.  They'll score after about 20 minutes and then run all over us for the remainder of the match and we'll have to rely on McGregor to repeatedly save us from another embarrassment.

I was completely the opposite.  Even after witnessing our capitulation against Hibs I just had a feeling we would beat them today.

Yeh it was the definition of “a 6 pointer” and what a way to go into the winter break.

 

@Bill has a point in that we haven’t been good enough in the league so far but the main thing tonight is that we’ve finally been given real hope that a turnaround could be possible.

That's true. 

 

First win against them though since our return. I'm going to savour it for the winter break.
