Is it the end for English nativism, English nationalism, and English exceptionalism? The tail of John Bull's dug docked?

We can but hope.

When politics fail, flags often become false and dangerous rallying symbols.

It's ironic that a Union flag is often used by those against a Union (Europe).

How far across do you think Corbyn will come?

I would hope both party leaders are prepared to compromise at this particular juncture.

Whether they do/are able to is something all together different.

Ever since May's first main speech on Brexit, I've always thought of the worst scenario being very possible and said so on an FF thread running during that speech. Simple logic being that it was always going to be easier to be deconstructive within a long and toxic process. Everyone wanted to have cake and eat it but that was obviously not going to happen.
