[FT] Kilmarnock 2 - 1 Rangers (Defoe 12)

Recommended Posts

Comfortably, we put Killie out of the League Cup we scored three goals from crosses. We got in behind Killie continuously. Tonight, we decided to play without width, our fullbacks received the ball, looked up and saw nothing down the line. The ball went inside, funneled into the strongest part of the Killie side, the midfield.

The scum are now 6 points ahead.  Unless they make an arse of it we've handed them the league tonight.

St Johnstone have the best away record in the league so it’s not that certain

Tactical masterstroke from Clarke and Co. excellent stuff ... bla, bla, bla.

They weren't to be seen until Worrall's error and after that, we simply accepted their way of playing standard, tried to best them and failed miserably. Again. You would hope that SG noted that against this set-up of brick-walls and pacy (and able) attackers, Worrall and McAuley aren't the best choice.

These fixtures - and none more so than those at this ground - have all the potentials of becoming vital points-graves. People will disagree and search first and foremost in our failures, but the next 5 games have all the markings of breaking our season ... while the Yahoos get an easy ride.

The fixtures are the fixtures FFS.  Every team plays every other team 3 times before the break.  It is what it is.  Stop making excuses like the fixture list.  It was clear for all to see this evening that we FAILED.  It is that simple.  Killie wanted it more than we did and they had fewer individual, costly errors.

Worrall’s blunder shot us in the foot and a freak goal like that always throws you off. Same again with Jones, goal from absolutely nowhere and from then on it’s really hard to get back into it. The way people on here are talking is as if Kilmarnock were slicing us open and creating loads of chances. They had two lucky breaks, scored 2 from 3 shots on target.

They don't need to create loads of chances. They nullified us and always gave us something to think about. Job done

I agree. It was a fairly even match.  Our silly mistakes cost us.

We were far more creative and should have had them out of sight. We came close to scoring number times. They got goals from

nowhere and capitalised by keeping things simple and not taking risks. Fair play to them but we are clearly a far better team than them.

We had the lion's share until having to press.  We didn't create much but Killie created virtually nothing.  McGregor had little to do.  We keep talking about the league being over here - Celtic will have to go to Rugby Park too and Killie won't be a pushover for anyone at their home ground.

League isn't over at all, but we certainly can't be dropping points that were there for the taking.

Said weeks ago Worrall should be sent back during transfer window,he then plays a blinder v scum so is kept in team, the proverbial car crash waiting to happen came tonight. As for second goal a poor pass being intercepted in Killie half again left us exposed, talk about shooting oneself in the foot!!!!

The league table doesn't lie.
