Tragic

By the time you add the saving from wages etc , it works out about £1 million .

Would have preferred to let him run his contract down and kept him

We have brought in Jones, Ojo, Hastie and we have Murphy fit again. I fail to see the need to bring another winger to replace DC. Our squad and wage bill is far too high, cuts need to be made and this is one that works in an area we are well covered for.

Absolutely. We will need him in Denmark but won't have him.

What we need is the type of player who can put our players in with a goalscoring chance with good old fashioned passing,  the little simple pass that leaves defenders for dead

It is a shame he didn't wait one more year.

Then he would have one really valuable memory to add to the collection.

If we make it to the group stage in Europe then I think we will miss him in those matches.

Wasn’t it the case though that he requested to leave and decided not to keep what might have become an unhappy player who has given good service?

Genuinely hope SG knows what he’s doing by letting Candeias leave because I’m not convinced Stewart, Hastie & Jones are better options in the wide areas

I think that Jones will prove to be a better option overall.

Hastie has a long way to go from what I can see.

Stewart looks like he has been signed to play a different role to Candeias.

It will be very interesting to see who we look to bring in now.
