For those of you who enjoy our weekly Gersnet podcast, we'll be having a special Old Firm preview LIVE on Youtube tonight at 9.30pm.

 

@rfb1872 will be your host with @plgsarmy and myself on as guests to discuss this week's game and much more....

Regards European qualification and entry point, Ross mentioned that 2nd place may get us into the 2nd round of qualifiers.

According to Bert Kassie, that isn't the case. Scotland are currently 20th in the co-eff table but next season uses the country position at the end of last season (26th) and that means ALL Scottish teams in the EL will begin in the First Qualifying round.

 

26 Scotland 18.625 ---------------------------------------- CL= (ch/Q1) CW= (eu/Q1) EL2= (eu/Q1) EL3= (eu/Q1)

 

 

This seasons end position (20th) will (if rules stay the same) mean that the SC winners of next season enter in the 2nd round of qualifiers. Qualifying via league position means a first round qualifier, be it 2nd or 3rd.... Hopefully we'll be in the CL.
