[FT] Celtic 2 - 1 Rangers (Kent 63)

This is a below par Celtic outfit since Rodgers's left so I am disappointed at not taking something from the game and our use of the substitute's leaves a bit to  be desired 79,83,88 minutes not much time for a player to pick up the pace of the game ,back to that much used drawing board i am afraid .

We must have some sort of clause with Forest the amount we play Worrall. So many times, I've thought Gerrard will drop him and give someone else a run.

But at the most it is one game and he's back.

He has had good games for us, especially when he keeps it simple. But like when we drop him. It's one game then it is back to the poor performances.

Just about when I thought that people need to keep their composure, Tav essentially hands them the title. What a pass. For me, the final straw. There will be other people able to hit good penalties. There will be other defenders who will whip in with 15 decent crosses over the course of 30odd games. People who can defend and keep their concentration when it matters.

Another season of missed chances. Playing Morelos today was a risk - AGAIN. Taken again, backfired because of that Scumbag Brown lured him into a reaction gladly taken and duly punished. Hope someone cleaned the smile of Brown`s face after the game.

A game tailor made for Lafferty up front and Davis as a creative spark. But we go Plan A  again.

Kudos for the team and the fightback, which had the Scum hanging on till that bit of madness. Even afterwards, Davis`drive (why he came soooooo late I`ll never know or understand) caused havoc, Tav blasted a ball into the mix rather than going for goal himself. In the end it did not feel like a defeat, but what another chance missed. Sickening ...

Looking more positively, we have shown they are awful defensively, have no tactical clue under the bigot, and when we get rid of Worrell, and get in a creative playmaker, we might be able to challenge. But we have to stop committing defensive suicide. I thought Tav defended brilliantly today, until his brain-fart opened us up to concede their winner, albeit only because we then didnt put a tackle in (Yes im looking at you big Joe again!) and failed to pick up the runner.

We still have too many players who look to hide when things aren't going well, Ryan Jack being the biggest culprit for me, Candieas being another, and it looks like Morelos cant handle big game pressure. Goldson was poor today as well. And for all these players didnt play well, we were the better side for most of the second half, even with a man down. That is the biggest single most encouraging thing we can take away from that match.

Good performances from Kent (easily our MOTM), McCrorie, Halliday, and McGregor.

All 3 of our subs were completely ineffective, showing we need better quality on the bench and our manager needs to learn how to make subs that impact the game. That will come with experience, and I was hoping his management staff would be more helpful to him in these situations.

Morelos will now play only about 3 games of our 7 left and will almost certainly be missing for the final OF game at Ibrox.

Good post. It's nice to read about the positives--of which there are a few.

Worral is starting to remind me of Cardoso 1-on-1.

Good spirit second half. Should have taken a draw.

No criticisms of any player for second half performance. Tav error was only really bad point but apart from that he had a good game and helped drag us back into it. Kamara very composed coming in in that atmosphere and looks a decent player.

Worral is hopeless. Constantly giving the ball away and should have done better at first goal. Goldson not the player we thought he was.

Morelos - what can you say but he probably has to get out of this league for his sake and ours. Next season he will get another batch of reds if he stays. No question about it whether they will be deserved or not.

What? Kamara was one who showed composure on the ball and did not give it away once. Davis, for all his few seconds, set up a brilliant chance near the end which Jack, Arfield and Co. didn't manage all game? Defoe hardly got to the ball? It was them on the park those last 10 minutes, when we had them under the cosh? In fact, I had hoped that all three were on at half-time.
