The Celtic / Israel Paradox

Recommended Posts

They're not the only bizarre group gathering around the Israel situation. Ever heard of gays for Palestine? People who if they were actually in Palestine would have to move to Israel or be thrown off a high building at best.

No way! I need to google that.

Update - can’t actually see if that exists or if it’s a hoax.

They - or let`s say the modern day semi-ultra version of them rather than your average football supporter - are in many ways just a hypocritic bunch of "against-anything", "against authorities" semi-leftish anarchists, much like their brethren at FC St. Pauli.

Of course, "if they knew their history", they would know that the Jews actually hailed from Judea, virtually the exact place they shared - back in the day - with the local Arabian (or whatever) population of the Southern Levante, before the region was renamed (and not de-populated) by the Romans when the Jews grew too bold. That many fled the region before and after is also known ... and when you actually read the history of the Jewish people, you wonder why the Scum support holds the Palestinians so dear, but not the Jews?

But hey, Israel was "invented" by the British Empire, as was Iraq et al, so it must be evil. Incidentally, that the Palestinains use heinous terror attacks on civilians is swept equally under the carpet as the IRA terrorism against the British people. Some sort of killing people simply is the correct version, the "freedom-fighting" killing of people than the other versions of terrorism. If that confuses you, you are lucky since you are a pretty normal person.

Of course, the left doesn't actually give a fig for Palestine or its people. That much is pretty clear. The left happily ignores the hijacking by Islamism of what was traditionally a secular Palestinian population. They ignore the current governance of Palestine whose activities effectively contradict and despise the identity and values that western leftists claim as their own. Leftist ideology has such shallow roots that it depends for expression on causes that are purely emblematic. What Palestine does is irrelevant. The principles by which Palestine conducts itself are irrelevant. All that matters is the projection of "Palestine" as a cause celebre with no purpose other than self-justification.

The same applies to the adoption of Palestine by the ludicrous celtic brotherhood and its installation in the lexicon of self-appointed freedom fighters. It applies to superficial wannabes who fly Palestine flags over our public buildings and wave them at football matches or ScotNat rallies. It has little or nothing to do with the reality of Palestine and everything to do with surrogate symbolism. When was the last time St Jeremy sharpened his sickle or the green brigade visited Gaza. Hell, when was the last time St Nicola visited Govanhill?

No wonder socialists everywhere make such an arse of it every time they stumble into government and are forced to confront reality.

This thing will never be resolved without some form of Islamic enlightenment because it’s not about land or any perceived suffering of any group it’s about nothing but a nazi like Jew hatred and no amount of negotiation is going to change that.

Quote

Zuheir Mohsen (1936 – 25 July 1979) was a Palestinian leader of the Syria-controlled as-Sa'iqa faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) between 1971 and 1979.

The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese.

Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism.

Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem.

However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.

Coming from the poster who has stated genocide for the Palestinian people would be acceptable.

With that base, the highfalutin talk means little to nothing........
