It's unbelievable that we have to play these sorts of teams.  I suppose it's a decent pre-season workout but really, neither Gibraltar or Kosovo are even actual countries.

Well, you could say, neither is Scotland! But I agree, you would have thought that after our exploits last season we might have had to play one round less at least.

Looking at the provisonal list of seeds, if we are in the draw for QR3, we'll need a wee bit of luck in the draw.

Roma

Espanyol

Wolves

Eintracht

etc

Surely we are going to be seeded for that round? Have we not amassed points from our campaign last year?

There were a few who thought we would begin in the second qualifying round.

In the event of being in the QR3 draw, we wouldn't even be close to being seeded.

For the QR2 draw yesterday we scraped in as 47th seed out of 47.

Note that the draw for QR3 (July 22th) takes place before QR2 is played (ist leg July 25th).

Scotland has been a footballing nation since association football came into being.  Scotland is a nation.  Always has been.

Anyway, the list posted by buster is rather daunting.  The only team out of that lot I'd give us any chance against is Espanyol.  Although we were quite lucky in last year's draw, so something more like that is entirely possible - but teams will know we're a tough nut to crack this time.

Given an improved Co-eff place in the table,  Scotland's Cup winners will go in at EL QR2 in 2020/21.

Access points depend on national co-eff place, not the individual club numbers.

Access List for this season (includes Scotland's co-eff 26th place)

Our improved position at the end of season 2018/19 is now 20th and this will be used to deteremine access points for 20/21.

Anyone else read this and picture Gonzo with his faced daubed in woad and shouting 'Freedom!' at the top of his lungs? Got to watch these deep, deep cover cybernats...
