No provided the terrorism is directed towards autocratic regimes who deny self-determination.

So the Palestinian leadership would be top of the target list. Followed perhaps by Venezuela and Iran.

Now you really are spouting tripe. The Venez. regime to take one example, was elected by about 68% support with polling conducted electronically, while Mr D. Trump who denounces it managed 28% support.

Kim Jong Un won 100% of the votes in the Norh Korean election you trying to tell us that makes him almost 4 times more legitimate than Trump?

And of course there's nothing authoritarian about Venezuela, Iran or your chums in Cuba.

Presumably the liberal democracies in China, Russia and North Korea are more to your liking.

What I can't quite get my head round is why someone who's enjoyed genuine, if flawed, democracy in the west would spend his time defending totalitarian regimes like Palestine. Isn't it time to stop playing Che Guevara and comic book communism?

Not defending Palestine (don't forget the struggle goes on internally in there too) so much as criticising Israel, which a recent UN report described as an apartheid racist state. The only thing missing from your critique (??) is the Pavlovian trope 'Get back to Russia'. As explained many times in my posts socialist Russia disappeared for me with the Stalinist Consolidation. NK is about as socialist as my right foot.

You cannot just vote in a socialist state - it has to be built and developed and then defended, an ongoing project. History and the class struggle moves in a zig-zag way. Cuba? Friend of mine came back from a holiday there. Loved it.

Wrong kind of Socialism in Korea then?

It's always the wrong kind of socialism. The right kind is always just around the next corner.
