As it stands now, it's 23 for Rangers and only 2 for Celtic, which surprises me a little.

 

Even given the sense of loyalty that might colour individual opinion, I thought the split would be much more even, since we've really seen nothing yet to convince anyone that the inconsistencies of last season have been addressed. Let's hope the confidence is well placed.

If Celtic don't upgrade their midfield we will win it at a canter. If they do that then i will reconsider my choice.

I just wonder if its a year too earlier than predicted but I do fancy us to win it this year. But we have to get our form in order and not drop silly points and that will be the difference.

Like some have mentioned - Rodgers leaving is big plus the fact he has been replaced by Lennon is only a backward step for Celtic.

I'm less concerned by occasional bad form than I am by our inability to dig out three points when our form does dip. All our championship winning teams had that ability but in recent years when we struggled with form you just knew the points were gone. Partly it's attitude but also requires the quality of player that can provide a moment of inspiration. It remains to be seen whether recent signings have taken us where we need to be.

In all honesty I am a bit concerned that we haven’t signed a marquee player in the Arfield position behind the striker. Yesterday was a friendly but we had Jones and Ojo in these positions but they are clearly not in Arfield’s league playing centrally, they are wingers to trade and it shows (same for Hastie and Kent). I like Murphy and Stewart in that position but both seem a bit unfit and Gerrard seems to have a strong preference for the fittest players in his squad.
