Europa League Group Stage: Rangers / Porto / Young Boys / Feyenoord

Recommended Posts

Whoever we get we can qualify. Unlike the CL there can only be 1 really top team per group, if even that. Indeed even one of the English sides would be beatable, given they tend to play reserves & not take this competition seriously. Our seeding is artificially low, 90% of potential opponents are no better than Legia, Maribor, Midtylland & the teams we played in the groups last year. They genuinely would want to avoid us as the bottom seed.

Incidentally I see Luxembourg have a team through again..

Why is that, given we have made the group stages twice in a row now?

Just a point - why is it Glasgow Rangers and not Glasgow Celtic?

Probably just the personal preference of Bert Klassie as opposed to anything formal name-wise.  UEFA certainly refer to both as Rangers and Celtic.
