Even if they qualify Scotland obviously aren't going to win Euro 2020. Giving him a place ahead of someone else who will continue to turn up in he future would be more than unfair.

I can think of no player who has benefited more from the financial and corporate struggles at Rangers than Scott Brown. His sideboard is creaking under the weight of trophies he wouldn’t have won had Rangers not been consigned to 8 years of effective exile. I’m not saying he’s without some talent or that Celtic would have won nothing over that period but the success he’s enjoyed is certainly tainted by circumstances and diluted in worth. The way the media has elevated him to star status is out of all proportion to his abilities and is based on achievements during a period when there was no credible challenge.
