And it's not down to the SNP when another ref is called - a generation is a min of 10 years. The thing is NS knows her party would fracture if they had to wait that long.

Agree that it is a political judgement and for Sturgeon, one that is fraught with danger.  Personally i don't think they've done enough to change opinion in terms of the economic arguments, but Boris et al are doing a fine job in helping to dig her out of the mess.  Whether its enough, who knows?

They have no economic argument period.

When last did they utter the words "full fiscal autonomy"?

Thats a matter for debate.

I haven't heard them talk in those terms for years.  To be honest, I think its a failing of UK politics that we haven't moved to a more federal structure.

Instead we have the steady creep of more and more powers (some less useful than others) towards the Holyrood, which in my view is just plastering over the cracks which just inevitably open up after a short period.

Agreed, the economic arguments are as they were in 2014. Not sure what Boris et al are doing to help the SNP as Brexit may tilt some people to take a chance and back her but it is still a massive leap into the unknown, when everything inc Brexit considered.

There is no debate to be had you just have to see the online reaction from the Cybernatz when a "pet food salesman" debunks their bullshit within minutes. We still don't know what currency we'd be using furfuxake!

You don't hear them shouting for "full fiscal autonomy" any more because they know it would take less than a year of it to banish the independence nonsense for eternity.

In SNP speak, an eternity is 8 years ;)

Politics is moving more and more towards the emotive rather than the rational though.   I only need to look back over the last few posts you made in this thread to prove my point.
