I'm still gutted and distraught with the manner in which we lost today. Tav shit himself at the penalty and SG saying otherwise didn't wash. That's Aberdeen on Wednesday and the bheasts today's where have mentally been found wanting. How's everyone going to feel should we lose on Thursday, then poorly v Motherwell, a dodgy result v killie in Boxing Day and then collapse our arse again at the san giro. These are critical times for our season. We should have been four up at half time but were weak.

Nothing to do with being found wanting mentally.  The over-reaction from some Bears is astounding.

we pummeled them from start to finish. That isn’t being found wanting mentally.

If you want to seek mental weakness go back to Pedro or Warburton’s Rangers teams against Celtic (cup semi aside) and you’ll see mental weakness.

Today wasn’t mentally weak at all - offside goal, missed penalty that should have been retaken, two more penalties could have been given and a keeper inspired.

It isn’t mental weakness, it’s poor luck and a lack of composure in front of goal

For once he actually talks sense

Do you believe him? He is superficially plausible and facetious, especially when his side has won.
He's laughing at us which is hammered home by his last word.

While that's mostly accurate it ends on a peculiar note. On the one hand he points out that they were played off the park and lucky to win this cup then that somehow translates to champions again? He expects that kind of luck to continue and take them all the way to the title?

I've watched football for longer than I care to remember and sometimes a team can play way below their best and still win that's what the hooped horrors did yesterday no matter what we did we were not going to score we need to get yesterday out of our system and get back to picking up the points in the league and forget about that lot until its time to play them again if we don't we will be playing for second place again .

Yet again , what is blatantly obvious is hidden because it’s a result against them , our support will never learn , our board will never learn , we play into our enemies hands at every opportunity, We Never Learn .

I agree Bruce, their various histrionics over the years have created this laxk of balance, resulting in dubious decisions falling their way with alarming regularity.

Only last week we are told Beaton apologised to SG for getting  a penalty call wrong - I do think someone should be calling out this regular occurence of officials seemingly terrified to officiate if the decision favours Rangers

Two critical decisions determined the destination of the trophy yesterday - one allowing a goal which re-runs show 3 Celtic players clearly offside the other showing a goalkeeper clearly of his line when a penalty was struck - on both occasions the officials got it wrong

Was a real kick in the nuts that you could see coming.

We weren´t scoring had the game gone on until midnight.

The main positive to extract from the disappointment was that the management team set-up the team well and installed the right attitude into the players, who in turn delivered the performance (even if lacking in definition/quality).

It´s gone now and any talk of mentality really applies to the future, ie. the rest of the games in a hectic December.

We need to get back to scoring goals and winning matches, although if offered on Thursday, I´d take a draw now.
