[FT] Rangers 2 - 0 Stranraer (Arfield 44; Defoe 66pen)

Recommended Posts

Rangers were probably fortunate to take the lead just before the break, when Scott Arfield prodded home following a disputed corner.

They needed a penalty to end Stranraer's hopes when Jermain Defoe was tripped then scored it himself.

The visitors will take confidence from their stuffy performance, while Rangers will just be happy to progress.

Possession: Rangers 41% - Stranraer 59%
