SPFL Season declaration challenged legally (ongoing discussion)

"If the season doesn't get going then I think Rangers would come away with an awful lot of credit and great sportsmanship ...

In 6 months time, by the very very latest, all Hartson and his colleagues, not to mention the Hooped Horrors, will only be talking of NIAR, the coming of TIAR and how much Rangers and King and Gerrard have failed.

I wonder whether Hartson got his car paying only 75 % of it?

Would it stop the spitting on our scarves, the wiping of the  noses on our corner flags, the hanging effigies, the use of the H word, the refusal to even say our name?

No!

There has been no respect shown to our club and that attitude will continue, no matter what we do. Rather than show respect and gratitude, Celtic and Lawwell would laugh at us for being weak, and continue to try and destroy us.

There's no way we should hand Celtic the title.

hardly our choice anyway. What about mother well or aberdeen.

The Yahoo Mindset.

Yesterday provided a peek into the mindset of the Yahoo collective. The above Herald tweet purports to highlight a silver lining to the Coronavirus epidemic. A most wealthy footballer in his Autumn years, has the opportunity to gain respite. Scott Brown is ra Sellik Skipper and we are all invited to celebrate his good fortune, Well, if you completely ignore those dying and the far greater numbers beginning their struggles in being able to continue breathing. I believe the Herald took the tweet down after several hours, but still?

Further, going down the water to the tail of the bank, the Yahoo mindset rode the tide and was found lapping at the doors of Cheers. A public house where everyone knows your name, celebrating the Troubles all the same. The local Yahoo CSC is based in Cheers and they ignored all government advice on closure, in fact chose to advertise their defiant opening and invited like minded to celebrate all things Sellik. The uniform of drab olive was adorned, feet clad in de rigueur green trainers, and massive sense of entitlement to the fore; they spilled on to the sunshine blessed street, and leered.

A passing pensioner attempted to remonstrate on the nihlistic behaviour being displayed, he was punched off his feet. There is film footage of the incident and the alleged assailant immediately got on social media to claim credit. Like Covid 19, ra Sellik mindset never sleeps and Holicom's hamsters have been working overtime again. The usual suspects, the Herald, Beeb Scotland, Evening Times, ............ are not reporting the incident. The Daily Record has it as it's eleventh story.

Now, the Chair of ra Sellik supporters association, Mad Joe O'Rourke hail hails from greater Greenock. I am sure his next upcoming homily will provide further evidence of the Yahoo Mindset? He is the Man in the Know for the inside story.

AFC Chairman, Dave Cormack, said: “It is hard to comprehend the extent of the unprecedented circumstances we are facing. In these worrying times, what happens in football needs to be put into context. However, we recognise that many, particularly those who depend on the Club for their livelihoods and our fans, are looking to us for some answers.

“Our priority has, and will continue to be, the health and well-being of all our employees, including football management and players, our fans and sponsors as well as our suppliers and contractors. We are acutely aware of the anxiety they will be feeling, which is exacerbated by everyone working from home.

“The over-riding aim of the Board is to provide clear and transparent leadership in this unparalleled period of uncertainty. But, as Scottish Clubs await the decisions on what happens next, there are so many moving parts, largely outwith our control, that it’s impossible to provide any degree of clarity or certainty at this time.

“What we do know is that we are facing a collapse of income that is going to be almost impossible to sustain for a prolonged period.

“Three weeks ago we were in a healthy financial position; free of external debt, with £1.5million in the bank. We had expected income of about £1million from four home league games and the Scottish Cup Semi-Final and, potentially, £5million in season ticket sales, seasonal hospitality and new shirt sales coming in through mid-July. Our monthly running costs are about £1.2million and it’s only prudent to assume that, realistically, there will be no football until July perhaps, at the earliest.

“During this period, we are therefore facing £5million in outgoings with no expected income. No matches are planned and we have no idea when a new season starts, never mind the current season ending, and it is highly unlikely there will be any player sales in the summer.

“This situation is clearly unsustainable. No club, whatever their size, scale or level of investment, can withstand a total lack of income over a period of anything between three to six months.

“We are doing everything we can to mitigate this over the next few months and protect our hardworking, dedicated and loyal workforce and all those who depend on the Club.

“Once we have answers to these questions, the Board will recommend a course of action to ensure the Club’s future. This will include asking investors, including myself, to support the plan. We will be facing some tough decisions and we will need everyone to come together and play their part in efforts to make sure the Club get through this period.

“We will be issuing regular updates as the situation becomes clearer and the Club has explored all its options. In the meantime, the Club, along with the AFC Community Trust, remains committed to our #StillStandingFree campaign which is providing valuable, practical support to those in need among our fanbase and the wider community.”
