And who takes the decision to buy these drugs?

Dominic Cummings has decided to buy generic drugs from China.  It's all part of his eugenics-inspired plot to rid these shores of anyone who isn't a member of the white bourgeoisie.

Ah so you weren't proud of being Captain Contradiction then?

Of course I was. I wear these childish insults like a badge of honour. It shows how well I'm getting through. ?

Now, you were about to tell me who takes these awful buying decisions in the NHS. Oh yes you were.

From my experience it's the NHS procurement teams signed off by clinical hierarchy.

ASIL probably thinks Cummings and Hancock are on the phone themselves to the Pharma's all day everyday ordering drugs, PPE, equipment and hiring and firing staff.

Simple thing to do would be set up a factory in the uk making PPE for the NHS any spares can be sold to the private care providers

That's too simple an idea for those who run things here. They gave a contract to Dyson only to cancel it more or less straight away, while many small businesses complained that their offers were not taken up. Maybe only tory donors need apply?

If there's only one kind of Socialist how come there's so many wrong types of Socialism?

Because they are either deformed workers' states like the former Soviet Union or not socialist at all like N. Korea. I can't help it if a rogue state calls itself socialist. Socialism needs to be international to work- surely the Stalin experiment proved that?

Maybe they ought to be. As it is you've posed the question - what is their function at all? The NHS should be run and managed by the workers themselves not by trusts or private providers who have shareholders to satisfy.
