It's basically steroids; they have many side effects. Don't get over-excited.

That may be so, but the testing and discovery was done in UK (Oxford Uni) and if you are seriously ill on a Ventilator you are not going to be worried about short term memory issues if you survive.

A classy defender - what they called a 'sweeper' in those days.

He became that - none better. He was bought as Baxter’s replacement because his role at Aberdeen was creative half back a role which he fulfilled there with distinction. Never played that way at Ibrox but the sweeper position was the making of him.

Alec Smith is a bit of a forgotten player theses days

Not much to remember really. He was very good at Dunfermline and I  thought he was just what Rangers needed to stop the celtic resurgence. Didn’t happen unfortunately.

£30,000 the pair if I remember rightly.

As the NHS track and trace app is abandoned, isn't it time we stopped the ideological exclusion of the private sector. The idea that the NHS could develop a tracking app more effectively than Apple and Google was fatuous, yet the revulsion at private company involvement is so embedded in the NHS that we end up with failure rather than compromise our leftist obsession. It was the same with PPE distribution when the NHS tried and failed to get vital equipment from warehouse to hospital and eventually had to call in military logistics experts. The whole thing is an insight into why the public sector is so mired in waste and inefficiency.

It was a government decision, announced by Matt Hancock, that the UK develop its own app. So a bit strange that you consider it to be a 'leftist' obsession. There's also the fact that the UK system would breach privacy laws so the public was unlikely to wear it.
