Coronavirus and the political situation

Recommended Posts

One of the biggest things to come from this virus could be a change of leader in France, Macron has made a complete arse of everything to do with the virus from the start, now we have political commentators in France coming round to the realisation that Marine LePen has a great chance of being g the new leader of the republic.

How much worse does it need to get before it starts affecting their vote? Surely most people now are feeling the effects of one or other of the SNPs failures, be it the Islands with their ongoing transport issues, the highest drug deaths in Europe, A&E falling apart, the biggest deficet ever and an economic  case for Independance which was built on fossil fuels which the Greens will not support. Chaos.

A&E stats are distorted for two reasons. First, GPs have vanished so patients go to A& E instead. Second, many of these “patients” have next to nothing wrong with them but they clog up the system and the waiting rooms.

Thats the same across the country. Covid sorted that out for a while as only those who were genuinely ill ventured into A&E during the lockdowns and all the timewasters stayed away.
