I'll have a go at the impossible task .........

     Andy Goram

Sandy Jardine             Richard Gough           Derek Johnstone           Eric Caldow

John Greig         Paul Gascoigne          Jim Baxter

Willie Henderson         Ally McCoist         Brian Laudrup

Eric Caldow owned my local pub.  One of the nicest, most genuine, humble guys you could ever hope to meet

He was also the best left back I ever saw. There may have been better before him but no one in the Wallace, Souness, Advocaat or Smith years came close.

Oh f*ck, Carlos Cuellar - how could I forget the guy who almost single handedly took us to a UEFA final.

I've heard many say that Bill.

I always get a sense of hope in humanity when you have quality footballers who are even better as people.

I know Rousseau won't want to heart this but Kevin Thomson is similar in his personal attributes - very humble, very much a family man who isn't arrogant or cocky at all - just competitive.  I am sure many more are like that... but too many seem to think they are "billy big baws" when their talent level is no more than mediocre.

I'm straying off topic - sorry

I'm loving this thread.... every time you see a name pop up you'e like "ohhh man... how good was he" ? :D

Where can I possibly fit Franny Jeffers into my team though :ninja:

Agreed. We've had so many great players .... but it's probably safe to say a few were world class. Henderson, Baxter, Gascoigne come to mind.

So, finally, correcting my earlier mistake.......
