Has Someone Upset the BBC?

Recommended Posts

It's been interesting watching the BBC ramping up its attack on the government with one of the most orchestrated campaigns yet seen. There isn't a news programme now that doesn't include doctors and nurses being coaxed into overt or implied criticism of the government and its ministers. At a time of national emergency the once-great public broadcaster is now reduced to some wannabe CNN mouthpiece for dissent and division, determined it seems to spread doubt and confusion at the very time we need reassurance and calm.

Well done BBC ... for being the insidious arseholes we know you to be.

Correct but it’s not just bbc. Sky News has been nearly as bad over the last couple of years with the exception of Adam Boulton.

Beff Rigby at the press conference the other day pompously asked Gove if the PM’s health condition was a consequence of at best carelessness or at worst negligence. Other less dramatic possibilities exist, madam. But that’s the trouble. The unslakable thirst for drama distorts everything.

Time to separate news from comment.

You're right, talking arseholes can be found throughout the mainstream media

Especially on C4 news, when last i watched, which admittedly was around 2016.

But yes, the BBC are looking for any excuse to talk up any issue into a crisis. I hope the Govt follow through on much needed licencing reform as they are no longer a national asset.

Coronavirus  is a crisis. Its not wartime yet where the first casualty is truth.

Coronovirus is a crisis, but the tangents the BBC go off on are often not helpful and wrong. No country was prepared for this and our response to date has been proportionate and responsible. The slowly increasing curve that the specialists and Gov needed is being met and that means the NHS has not been swamped. The BBC's sniping is not a help to anyone, least of all themselves.

As long as we are in a free society someone has got to question what the Government tells us, both UK and Scottish. Nick Hancock stated that the NHS has 12000 ventilators, that was not the case we only have 8000 which the UK Government eventually admitted. Also the exaggerations around the supply of PPE being made by both governments was questioned which seems to be being remedied now.

I can just see you, huddled in front of your TV, slavering down your chin every time some public school socialist with a microphone has a go at the government. You don't give a shit whether it's justified or not, so long as it makes you feel they're getting a dig in at those f*cking toaries. One thing this crisis has done is to make malcontents like you stand out even more starkly.?
