Has Someone Upset the BBC?

The BBC is publicly funded, buster, so it should retain a degree of objectivity (but doesn't).

#RAM Loyal

This is absolutely spot on.

Oragnisations like CNN (openly anti-Trump) and Fox (openly pro-Trump) can fall back on the fact they are "big, bad corporations" and will sing to the tune of the highest financial contributors (or their billionaire owners) but state-funded media organisations should, at the very least, have, as far as possible, impartiality.  They can still show their bias in the way they report, but t least give an element of balance prior to taking their preferred position.  But they don't, they literally take a stance and it is so lop-sided that it would be like fruit dropping off  table with just one corner leg

Looks like the Beeb jumped the gun...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-52333540

"Earlier on Friday we reported that a boss of an NHS trust had contacted the BBC with concerns about the provision of gowns for staff during the coronavirus crisis.

He had asked the BBC for the phone numbers of Burberry and Barbour - two companies which have become involved in making gowns - because he was concerned about supply shortages.

We should clarify that the person concerned is not the boss of an NHS trust but is part of a network of organisations helping to source personal protective equipment for some NHS trusts.

The mistake was caused by a misunderstanding of the person's role in the fight against the pandemic.".

No apology though.

When was the last time the BBC apologised or anything?

You know, the answer to that is not only "never" but it's that way as a matter of long-standing policy. The BBC will occasionally issue "apologies" for the odd mistake, which it sees as corrections for unintentional oversights or accidents, but never for being wrong in terms of policy. Hence why when it was rumbled for discriminatory salaried, it made changes but never apologised. I can't find the article I was looking for to corroborate this atm, but if I do I'll post it.

Generally speaking, I laugh at the Righteous Angry Mob loudly criticising things like politically led journalism as if it´s something that doesn´t happen in a big way on the Right.

Journalism is like most things at the moment, to a fair degree, broken.

The losers tend to be who the losers usually are.

Sorry Buster, didnt want to detract you from your USA are the root of all evil masterpiece you are creating, but the BBC are caught out again.

From the Telegraph;

Research from Guido Fawkes yesterday remarkably revealed that every single doctor interviewed for Panorama had a history of left-wing political activism. The Labour Party links were so deep that the programme turned into more of a Party Political Broadcast than a piece of serious journalism. BBC researchers even consulted one Nigel Flanagan , self confessed communist union organiser, but kept his name away from the credits.
