The Summer 2020 Transfer Window Now Closed: Zungu signs on loan with option to buy

Given the current climate, the only way we are going to improve our team / squad is by selling players to generate funds.

Alfredo is our most sellable asset and a circa £14M uplift on our outlay is phenomenal business in anyone's language.

This will hopefully open the door for SG to get the players in he thinks will improve us. This move will not come as a shock and / or surprise to our club, you'd like to think plans are in place for this eventuality.

It isn’t right for us. We’ve no fit striker for next Saturday & we’ll struggle to get anyone anywhere near as good as Morelos. Especially for the £1m we paid for him

The £1 mill fee we paid for him is irrelevant.  It’s what we can get for the cash we receive for him.

The £1m we paid for Morelos was a steal. We could end up paying a lot more for a replacement nowhere near as good

None of which makes the £1 mill we paid for him relevant.

We could also pay £5 mill and get someone better..... but the £1 mill is still irrelevant...  what is relevant is trying to replace him with what we get for him..

Amazing how attitudes change from Alfie being a god at one time now let's get rid of him how quickly we turn.

A young man who came and set the heather alight and the when the cluggers found out he reacted sharply to things set out to get him booked/sent off when their actions should have had same treatment.Obviously the manic mhedia highlighted all these traits of Alfie hence no hiding place.

As of last season his behaviour became a bit better but as far as the referees in Scotland were concerned he was still a trophy in their eyes each time he was carded.

Then came the news of an attempt to steal or bug his car whilst he was under the mhedia pressure and with his wife being pregnant it must have been mentally draining.

However IMO although he has not scored in the pre season games some of his passing etc. has shown him to be more of a team person.

Finally to those who thought it strange that SG subbed him it was done in light of the sheep game.

Should he go it will be with my best wishes and sorrow as is one of the best talents we've had over the past few seasons.

Just a thought, what's Kenny Miller up to these days?

#bringkennyhomeagain

Why? he was a good player for us and deserves to succeed wherever he is,and since James Taylor has gone leaks have dried up so maybe those who blamed Kenny could think again.

Don't think attitudes are changing. He clearly wants to leave and had always said we were a stepping-stone.

He is our most sellable asset, he wants to leave, its a natural conclusion to his Ibrox career.

It's a business model we need to excel in - buy cheap, sell expensive.

Every signing is a gamble, time will tell if we replace him with a better player.

Sad to see him go, but it was inevitable

Not from the words in some of the posts giving him a lot of crticism.

Agree with rest of your post but he WILL be hard to replace IMO.
