When?

Yesterday's match at Brighton one goal chopped off by a man analysing the game with cross hairs another a penalty given after the referee waved play on only to change his mind because the hidden official says he thinks it's a penalty,  they are all running scared of referee supervisor Mike Dean in case they get stood down the only one who should be stood down is Dean himself.

Salah was offside.

Robertson clips the attacker, Referee misses it and VAR cleans it up. The Referee is made aware of the potential penalty and he goes across to view the screen, and makes the call. Soft? Maybe, but it's the Referee's call.

VAR worked the way it was supposed to.

What's the issue?

So where the hell was the VAR man last night when we had the flavour of the month man Jack Grealish going down more often than Linda Lovelace it was a disgrace warranting a booking and a sensing off

So, you don't want to wait 5 seconds on a VAR decision on a key event like an offside or penalty, but you think it should be used every time a player goes to ground?

yes and it takes a lot more than a few seconds we have had  them gawping at screens for as much as four minutes and i think it was seven times he dived so you would be happy to back the cheat

I don't think even you know what you're trying to say.

The disallowed Watkins goal last night is the longest I've ever seen VAR take. The ball went in at 90:47, and the decision was made at 93:13. Two and a half minutes it took them.

They got the offside correct.

The problem was the defender was actually fouling him at the time. It should've been a penalty!

Again, VAR is not the issue, it's the rules.

It is completely human error: They're so focused on the offside, that they miss the foul!

I’m sure he does. The delays are an irritation but if you’re stopping for some events, why not all of them?
