bang on mate. even in the near impossible conditions he looked assured

I wouldn't go that far: he just bull-dozed his way into position! :D

He was caught out at the back-post once, from what I recall.

He was very good.

If we can refine that raw athleticism, there is some player there.

What a performance young Bassey had when he replaced Barisic

Need to thank wee Brendan for that one. To think the yahoos have wasted all sorts of money on LB’s & we got Bassey for £250k ?

Bassey’s better than Taylor & Bolingoli (on loan to Besiksehir) who must have cost the yahoos £4m between them

I can't remember him getting caught out. The only scare was that one at the end and that due to a Balogun mistake.

For me, the parts of his game that need work are probably fixable through coaching. That isn't the case for most players, so I am pretty excited about him.

Edit: Having said that, I would like to see what his crossing is like. A good bit of that is natural skill and not really teachable.

Does anyone know if a Rangers player has ever scored from his own half before?

Im in my fifties & certainly cannot recall anything like what we saw from Roofe last night. Or even a goalkeeper scoring from a kick out

something about Peter Mcloy against hearts was a near thing

Bassey did well coming on but did allow the ball to pass over his head in the box without knowing who was behind him, something he has done a couple of times previously.

Didn't notice that, will need to look out for it.

I saw it once at Muirton Park, Perth in the late 60’s. Can’t remember who did it though.
