Anyway, I'd agree that we've made progress in just about every position with the exception of the GK. Carroll is an accident waiting to happen and Smith won't see 1st team action this season. Klos deserved the wages he was getting because he was a world class goalie and kept us in many games with his saves so I'd take Klos over Carroll anyday. Obviously his wages were a problem though.

 

Even with the addition of Gow, I still feel we lack any real creativity in the midfield. Another season of punting high balls to the strikers could be on the cards this season.

It is quantity but that was the first step - to cover all positions. But I also do think we will have genuine improvement domestically with the bigger depth.
