[FT] Dundee Utd 1 - 2 Rangers (Tavernier 26; Goldson 44)

Recommended Posts

Jum Spence epitomises the dignity demanded by the designation, 'Rectum of the University of Dundee'.

Jum takes to Twitter during today's ninety minutes, his first Tweet is  a clip of Morelos leaving his forearm in United's central defender, Connolly's face, with the accompanying line, "only in Scotland is this not a red. It's a Mick McManus four arm smash".

The second half is better, "a wee smash and grab from Dundee United would go a small way to the years, when even great Utd sides were regularly swizzled by refs against Rangers".

Both these Tweets have been re-Tweeted numerous times by the usual suspects, Spiers, Stewart, Angela Haggerty, Phil McFournames, .............. etc. You cannae beat Jum for Rectum objectivity.

Is that clown still relevant, other than to the ironists of the Dundee student body?

A lot of comments about Alfie, and I'd love to see him about the goals again, but watching him today its becoming clear that there's more to his game now than just goals, and that makes him a better player.  He's coming deeper and wider to create chances for others.  Even while he's not getting the goals, he's drawing defenders attention wherever he goes, opening up space elsewhere.   He's not the go to man any more and that's probably a good theling, but he's still contributing to the team in other ways...
