[FT] Dundee Utd 1 - 2 Rangers (Tavernier 26; Goldson 44)

Recommended Posts

A very good win as conditions deteriorated late on.

We really should have put the game to bed as various players missed chances and the officials missed penalties but sometimes it just doesn't run for you.  Credit to the defence though who were excellent and didn't give Utd a sniff as they tried to make something of a couple of late free kicks.

On we go!

Slight bit of squeeky bum time at the end and not because they offered anything second half, more incase they got a lucky one.

Fantastic result against hammer throwers and a pitch that cut up badly.

Poor Alfie had a mare, it just won't drop for him.

Great free kick and header from Tav and Goldson, our captain and vice captain stood up for us today. Job done!

Dun hibs deserved nothing from that game , when you need to use Craig Levens 6-4-0, tactics you get nothing and you deserve nothing .

Your entire game plan was to fire aimless balls into the box with 2mins left , pathetic .

We played well and totally controlled the match against opponents with no real intent about them.  Our problem was our inability to finish them off.

Good to get a win in a difficult fixture, especially when the forwards were far from their best.

Three points is what it's all about.

Thing is, this is no new scenario. When you think back through the years, even the greatest sides with the greatest players went into such games, dominated them but only ended up with 1-goal wins. Its the big picture that counts, as each win adds to the point tally, be it by 1, 3 or 6 goals.

I just hope Alfredo finds his goalscoring touch again, as his overall play has improved dramatically.
