A quick glance at top goalscorers in the Premiership, from central midfield, produces a list of Turnbull (Them), Lakin (Ross County), and top, is... Ferguson (Aberdeen) ?

Just saying.

mostly penalties. We should have got Turnbull

he has a lot of good qualities.

I guess we should trust Gerrard either way.

He reminds me a bit of Ian Ferguson when he signed from St Mirren. Which can't be altogether a bad thing.

i do worry about how often he might get sent off at rangers.

That can be worked on though.

I have some doubts if he could get a game in our current midfield and if not then it would be a backwards move to sign Lewis Ferguson.

In fairness to the lad, he has improved each year of his career so far.  He will soon outgrow Aberdeen if that continues.

For me the issue is not dissimilar to that of McCrorie.  He's a good battling midfielder but is he good enough on the ball to fit in with the way Gerrard plays?
