As they are directly employed by the Scottish government they will be getting the going  rate maybe a bit extra for accommodation and travel

I think the chances of these foreign workers being paid comparable wages is somewhere between slim and zero. 

 

As a stranger to hypocrisy myself, I couldn't possibly comment on how the SNP government lives with itself in events like this. ?

I'm not sure if that's any use.

 

I suspect that foreign labour is more cost effective.

 

If so then the fundamental problem is an inability to compete.
