so then what was it that was said lets  these words that were mouthed on the field of play

His agent said he said, "F***y", according to reports.  Presumably that's either fanny or fairy.

It's unclear what he's alleged to have said by the people who were upset about it.

Strict liability and points deductions are the only way to stamp out nasty words.  Hopefully these are brought in very soon.

he says he called him a fanny. The suggestion was he said Faggot or fairy depending what source you believe. either of those should certainly see you banned for a lengthy period.

As i say it seems witnesses are less sure of what went on and certainly do not want to testify against him so the right decision has been made here.

Clubs should be deducted points when a player insults an opponent in a discriminatory way or makes a hateful/inciteful gesture, such as pointing an imaginary gun or slashing their throat.

Additionally, strict liability should be enforced, to ensure no hateful or discriminatory words* are heard in a football ground.

Groups like NBM, Stonewall and Call It Out should be consulted in the process.

The condescension is beneath you.
