[FT] Hibernian 0 - 1 Rangers (Morelos 51)

Recommended Posts

Thought we started well but after 15mins or so looked much less adventurous and very wasteful in and around the box.  For their part, Hibs have competed well and arguably had the best chance of the game when Doidge could easily have opened the scoring.

On Saturday our shape looked fluid with the players on the same wavelength but today folk look unsure of where they should be and we're equally uncertain on the ball.

We'll need a lot more in the second half, in particular from Morelos, who will undoubtedly be facing another spell on the sidelines.  The 'stamp' wasn't the worst we've seen but it didn't look good, was avoidable and will be punished.

Hopefully we'll see Roofe sooner or later and Hagi may well replace Aribo who has struggled at times.

Pitch is atrocious, not an excuse but hindering our style a little. Need to lift the tempo be more clinical in 2nd half.

It is very fiery and slippy with both teams struggling.  I was hoping we'd deal with that better and we probably have in the main but our big players haven't looked dangerous enough with only Kamara really impressing for me.

Itten/ Roofe on for Alfie. Hagi on for Davis or Jack (not that they've been bad)

Can't disagree with those changes and it's the kind of attacking change that we should be looking to make to go on and win this title.

It's what we did after the 0-0 draw at Livi and the manager may fancy doing so again tonight; possibly not right away but certainly if we don't up our play.

Hibs have had the ball in our box as often, maybe more than the reverse. Hibs are hitting it long from their back three and Hibs are winning most of the headers. Hibs have had more attempts on goal.

We are not driving at the Hibs defence, thus we are not picking up free kicks or corners.

There appears to be a lack of motivation?

Far too slow; movement off the ball poor; too many occasions when we are waiting for the ball to arrive, allowing them to nip in and take it.

Second half needs to be better: dominate the ball; control the game; fuck the opposition.

Kent has been, well, Kentish.
