Edit: Ukraine will still have 5 places next season which is good news for us. I believe it will be Czech Republic, Croatia and Greece who will benefit from losing the 5th spot.

As long as Rangers are in the group stages of the CL, I couldn't give a monkeys what Scotland's ranking is.

If separate entity fc pulled their weight we could be challenging Austria for their place.    As much as it pains  me to say it I want them to get it together so we can guarantee a CL spot straight in for winning the league.

Anyone know if the co-efficient numbers are combined by both club and international games or purely club football only?

Yes, we all enjoy Celtic or Aberdeen or Hibs or whoever else making a mess of their games but, if we truly want our club to improve it's reputation and quality, then we need everyone to pull their weight to ensure the ranking is as high as possible.

 

Anything else is cutting off our nose to spite our face.

The likes of Hibs and Aberdeen will never get past the first couple of qualifiers.  The yahoos have performed poorly recently but at the same time, we have definitely over-achieved under SG.

 

Regularly competing in the CL group stage is what we need to be aiming for.

You note I said "as long as Rangers are in the group stages of the CL", which is qualification enough. If that requires the other teams to be successful then so be it but I still couldn't give a monkey's about them. Nor would I ever depend on them for our own ranking.
