surely passports would be needed at the border.

No, the English welcome us with open arms however you will need wire cutters to get through the barbwire barricades on way back.

I would resurrect Hadrian's wall twenty feet high with gun turrets and a minefield in front of the moat and if Jock wishes to visit the mother country he or she would need to apply for a Visa six months before their departure and they would have to wear a leg tag whilst in England ??

Ferguson shipyard made £100m loss after being nationalised

A nationalised shipyard tasked with delivering two ferries made a £100m loss in the first few months that it was under the ownership of the Scottish government, figures show. Ferguson Marine (Port Glasgow) Holdings Ltd was nationalised in August 2019 after it went into administration.

It was contracted to deliver two vessels for CalMac for £97m, with an initial completion date set for 2018. But the work on the ferries has been hampered by delays and overspending. The ferries, referred to as Glen Sannox 801 and 802 (name not decided yet), are not now expected to be completed until 2022 and 2023 respectively, with the costs having almost doubled.

That's some going, i don't think the flag wavers understand how all these economic failures will affect them!!!
