Season was all about winning the league - we won it at a canter. Disappointing in both cup compitions but that's cup football for you.

The most important thing was the league but to tell the truth I wasn't that surprised by tonight's result. Certainly once it went to penalties then there could only be one winner - it was in the script. It may not be a bad thing either. There was a certain amount of arrogance on FF about who we would play in the semi and who we would beat tin the final. It's best for that attitude to be shown the door well before the next meaningful match.

Disgusting from the first minute till the last lacklustre penalty. Not sure how St Johnstone still had enough players on the park to take 5 penalties, total hatchet job with a well known wee Rangers hating shit of a referee.

 

Hope Gerrard doesn’t miss him post match, but also has a go at the players for a dismal performance.

We looked like all the pressure was on us from the first minute to the last penalty. League was the main goal, but too many players haven’t turned up since then.

True to form some idiot on FF is moaning that one trophy from nine is not good enough. After the last 10 years you would think that he might have learned some perspective and realise that that one trophy, which he seems to disparage, is worth more than any of the others put together.

Showed a total lack of professionalism and game management in both games. We had chances to take the ball into the corners and run down the clock in both games and we failed to do so. Paid the ultimate price and still haven’t won any cup now for 10 years.

Such a pity but good luck to St Johnstone - once could have been a fluke but twice in a week says they're a decent team with a lot of heart. Gerrard's task now is to get heads up for next weekend.

I had a hearty laugh when Tav was popping up at the left hand side of the goal to head the ball in. That´s the place where our 2nd striker should have been - all night long.

 

Same tactics that we`ve seen these last three  years against a team that was hard to play through, a team that worked hard to shut uis down, a team that had sussed us out in midweek. Yet we go again with Plan A and for 90+ mins. Aribo and Kent, despite being well below par, were kept on.

 

People will go on about 55 and rightly so, but this needs to be adressed. In many ways we can count ourselves lucky that Slavia put us out, any of the remaining sides would have torn us a new one twice, as our whole performance levels burst after 55. Bar 90 mins against the Scum ... and those account for nothing more than a little banter and pride.
