Aside from the ludicrous fee, the problem with McBurnie is that he is clearly vulnerable to a noise up.  He will be targeted up here and I would question his temperament to handle it.

If that’s true I wouldn’t be surprised if they return with an increased bid. No big surprise clubs looking at Aribo after his impressive EL performances last season

McBurnie is well known to be a Rangers fan. Like L. Ferguson that seems to be the only source for these speculations. Doesn't mean they would suit us. I'd rather see youngsters promoted to the first team squad.

Noticed Tottenham released Danny Rose yesterday. If we could do a deal with wages doesnt anyone think he would be a good signing as back up for Barisic so Aribo doesnt have to fill in at LB? Rose will know Defoe and Gerrard well from the England set up.

Bassey is our second choice left back.  Whether he's good enough or not is another issue (I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt).
