What would you have them do? It was the players' decision not the SFA so who is gutless?

Italy and Turkey didn't take the knee tonight, despite the Kurds being treated like shite in Turkey and race issues in Italy being as bad as, if not worse than, they are in the UK.  Why are British football fans being continually subjected to this American symbolism?

Italy looked terrific tonight but it'll be interesting to see them play a more confident and capable team.

It's touching that you believe that.

Personally I would  tell them including my own team mates to grow a pair and stop being  stupid by joining the kneebenders and start acting like grownups.

Watching the Italy game was similar to many of our games this season i.e. trying to beat the parked bus syndrome well done Italy.

I was also struck by the similarity in styles. Same 4-3-3 formation, same attacking fullbacks, same solid central defence, same passing midfield.

Italy employed lopsided full-backs: their LB (Spinazzola) was high, virtually a winger, whereas their RB (Florenzi) tended to stay back to form a back three. That's not something we do.

There's definitely a similarity in the passing midfield, with one player having a license to find space further forward (Aribo / Barella).

Italy's counter-pressing was good too, which is similar to us; when they lost the ball, several players would cluster to win it back.

I was impressed by Italy.

Italy's high press was non-stop.  We play like that sometimes but seem to run out of steam - whether Italy can keep it up for a whole tournament will be worth noting.  They may employ different tactics depending on the opposition too.
