Rangers 3 (Hagi 8; Wright 78; Roofe 90) - 0 Livingston [FT]

Good news is that every player apart from Morelos and Jack trained today and is available. Morelos is back next week and Jack by the end of August.

I assume that includes Aribo, Roofe and Barker who have supposedly been in isolation.

Less positive news is that manager has confirmed Goldson has not yet signed a new deal.

"What will be will be" could be construed either way but I think as a club we can't be dependent on anyone playing every minute of every game, which necessarily means being able to keep on winning if and when Goldson leaves or is unavailable.

@Billis right to be cautious. I remember too well the hubris of 1963/64 and the Nine and I’ve seen celtic on their knees unlikely to rise a couple of times before and we’ve seen Liverpool with Klopp set to rule for a decade.  Rangers had plenty of luck last season for a change. That probably won’t happen this time.

I expect to win the league again but I’ll know better in nine months or so.

If I’m tempting fate, the Witchdoctor-General on the Mods staff will delete.

Difference here is that it's the Scottish  League we are talkiing about and most of the teams likely to challenge us will be unable to hold on to their key players. Keltic are doomed, an embarrasment to Scottish football; I expect them to lose to Jabonec and possibly also to Hearts as well. Aberdeen may well be our nearest challenger this year.

I don't care about our points total - just win the league so we get automatic CL qualification. I'd rather we lost a couple of league games in exchange for a cup victory or two.

Things can change quickly in football.  Where we were in March 2020 was a lot different from where we were in March 2021.

Their new manager is highly regarded and despite his ropey start, I have little doubt they'll be better than they were under Lennon.

I'm confident we can win the league again but seriously doubt it'll be as easy as it was last season.
