GPs get big wages. I wouldn’t grudge them more than about £20,000 of it  if they would just set about healing the sick with no extra cash for inoculations or referring patients to government schemes i.e. doing their job. Trade Unions are excoriated for that sort of thing. Medicine is a profession. That means twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.  Except for the most trivial complaint, you can’t diagnose a patient’s condition on Zoom far less over the ‘phone.  Time to get the stethoscopes out, doctors, if you can remember how to use them.
