There are also odds on Ant and Dec, so...

In all seriousness, you couldn't stand in his way. That would be a huge forward step for him.

However, with the money the new Newcastle owners have, there are bigger, more established names that would be more likely, surely?

Steven Gerrard 3/1 (SkyBet)
Graeme Jones 11/2 (Paddy Power)
Chris Wilder 11/2 (Paddy Power)
Antonio Conte 5/1 (Betfair, Paddy Power and William Hill)

Eddie Howe 6/1 (SkyBet)
Rafa Benitez 8/1 (BetVictor)
Roberto Martinez 10/1 (Paddy Power)
Frank Lampard 10/1 (Paddy Power)

[...]

Ant and Dec 250/1 :D

Pretty sure it won't be anyone on that list. They're clearly going to aim a lot higher.

Wouldn't touch Stevie with a bargepole he won one title in the poorest league for years if the magpies are spending serious money then you want one who's tried and tested over the course.

Just wish would have bought the toffees ?

But harsh. You need to remember what SG inherited when he took over Rangers

I think if Lampard at chelsea whe i see this.  Too soon for gerrard me thinks.

I also think Newcastle have previous in appointing former great players as manager and not working out for them.

The best players in the world don’t want to go to the north east. They’d prefer to go to London or North West (Liverpool & Manchester)
