Gonzo79 13,344
I remember discussing climate change with a member of the more alarmist factions and I asked him why, if the sea level is rising so rapidly, would Everton FC choose to build their new stadium on the docks? He told me it's because they've got so much money they simply don't care that their new ground might be partly submerged during the course of this century. I don't know enough about rising sea levels but that seems a bit ridiculous to me. Seaside property is highly desirable currently. Why would you want a house that'll soon be facing flood damage or worse?

Sure, the climate is changing, so what are they going to do about it? This could be a chance to improve the lot of ordinary people around the world but all that will happen is "solutions" will be imposed exclusively to suit those who stand to make money from them. Instead of replacing domestic heating gas with a cheaper, more efficient, non-damaging alternative - they give us useless heat pumps that won't heat our homes, because that's what they've invested in. Instead of replacing IC cars with "green" vehicles that are more affordable, cheaper to run, more convenient to use - they give us EVs and tell us to adapt to ridiculous charging times, because that's what they have invested in. And to make sure we glibly sign up to these pseudo-solutions, they conduct incessant, inescapable brainwashing propaganda, night and day. And no one wants to face the real source of climate change and environmental degradation, which is horrendous over-population.

I feel so sorry for our grandchildren, what a world we've left them.

Sky are looking at ways to alter peoples behaviour subconcioulsy by the subtle placement of things like solar panels, electric cars being plugged in or wind turbines captured in shot during the making of their programmes. They believe the easily persuaded will get the message and adopt the practice, or at worst view it as the norm. I doubt they are alone in looking at this.

The degree of psychological manipulation in this country is frightening.

Can you not come up with something other than the long-discredited Malthusian theory?
