If I had to pick one player who I would have loved to see score a hat-trick it is Sekala. Hope it really boosts his confidence and that it shows his detractors that things can sometimes be worth the wait.

Fair points but there is also a flip side. One good game doesn't make him the finished article. Remember that gut we had on loan? Cullibally? He had 2 good games and there was talk of a 5million plus permanent deal. Where is he now?

I'm over the moon for the guy but it's step one. Let's build on it. That goes for all the players to be honest as this feels like our season has hopefully finally kick started.

Jeez. That's a pretty strong critique. Hardly a like for like comparison for a start. Cullibally was a box to box MF not a wide front 3 player. Maybe you are confusing with Ojo? As for Sakala, what I see from his first sub appearance in pre season is a young man from an impoverished African background who is so grateful for the opportunity to better himself. He has already moved from Zambia to Russia then from Holland and to here. I don't know how many full games he has played for us (it can't be many) but is amazing to see the number of people on here prepared to write him off already based on so little evidence. That interview on Sky was a breath of fresh air. So humble, so grateful to the club and his teammates. He even admits he has not fully settled here yet. There have been many players who have crashed and burned here. So far, on the limited opportunities available to him, I think he has done himself no harm at all. Plus he cost diddely squat!

Their one chance was a gift from us.

They done nothing all game - we didn't let them, but still...

I think we don`t want to look at the "goals scored from chances created against us" - column anytime soon. Gut feeling says above 50 % ...

Firstly let’s hope we start the game strongly  and don’t concede first which we’ve done too often in games recently.

Hopefully we won’t see the suicidal passing the ball around our own penalty box when taking a bye kick. Especially in conditions like today.

And let’s get early deliveries into their box with both Morelos and Sakala up front.

Well you pretty much nailed our vulnerabilities in your first 2 paragraphs! Although our suicidal defending came from a long high ball this week.

Thankfully we turned it round in emphatic style.
